Install SharePoint 2013 on Windows Server 2016
Hi,
is it possible to install SharePoint 2013 on Windows Server 2016. is there any Microsoft article or recommendation to install SharePoint 2013 on Windows Server 2016.
Also on same machine windows Server 2016 with SQL Server 2016.
with reference to following microsoft link At this time, Windows Server 2016 RTM is not supported.

Issue after successfully disabled SSL 3.0 , TLS1.0 and Enabled TLS 1.1 and 1.2 protocols.
HI Team,
We disabled SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0 and enabled TLS 1.1 and 1.2 in registry Edit for SharePoint Application Server and Web Server and Microsoft Office Web App Server. after changes application was down. Can you please help me why my applications goes down after this changes. Application should works on Both Intranet and Extranet Zone.
is it related to compatibility issues ?

Sharepoint designer - 2010 workflows unable to publish
Hi,
I have an issue with SPD 2013. I'm able to create and publish 2013 workflows. I can create/save 2010 workflow but I cannot publish them.
I always get the message : "Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files are save but cannot be run" and advanced message: "Unexpected error on server associating the workflow"
Any ideas ?

Local server is not yet joined to a farm
We were trying to upgrade Windows server OS from 2012 to 2016. We detached the db content one of the project sites using Central Admin. After attaching the db content back, we are getting the error the "Local server is not yet joined to a farm" on the project site. Central Admin is working fine.
We have tried using the Configuration Wizard that did not solve the problem. We tried reverting back to snapshot, and still getting the same error.

How to preserve createdby/modifiedby information while moving list item into another list by using SharePoint Content and Structure
Hello,
I would like to ask your help.
I need to move some of the items from a list to the archive list because my current list soon to reach to 5000 threshold.
I only have access to use 'Content and Structure' from SharePoint 2013.
When I move the list item from 'Content and Structure', I saw that created/modified remain the same as old dates. Butcreatedby/modifiedby is changed to my current login account.
Can you please advise me how to move the content not changing createdby/modifiedby. At least createdby should not be changed.

Access Denied" to Access Requests list or "Request approval failed" when you process a pending request in Sharepoint 2013
Hi,
Cause:
we have a multiple Microsoft SharePoint2013 sites and enabled the Allow access requests to all the sites.
If any user sending request message then user browse to the Access Requests list and then click Approve or Decline for a pending request, they receive the following error message:
Sending approval
Request approval failed
I've followed the below URL solution but it should not be working sometime, Some sites should be working perfectly but not for all sites.
Is there any solution to resolve this solution?

Hi All,
I am facing issue in SharePoint Search.
The issue is in Search Topology, “Unable to retrieve topology component health states. This may the admin component is not up and running”.
To fix the issue I tried below steps. Unfortunately no luck for me.
- Checked all the SharePoint services and windows services.
- Restarted all the services.
- Remove the Search Service and created it again.
- Tried to provision again the usage* services
- Removed “Usage and Health Data Collection” service and created it again.
- Checked the “PSModulePath”
- Checked all the permission level.
- Re-booted server
- Checked NodeRunnerSettings.
Server details is
SharePoint 2016 latest patch updated.
Server is Windows Server 2016 Standard. OS Build Version is May 2018
SQL is 2016 with Service Pack 2
Still I am having same issue.
Can any one help me on this.

SharePoint 2013 Blog Site Comments permissions
Hello,
Have researched this and all articles I can find so far give identical advice.
Blog site (subsite of root SiteCollection) is populated by a manager of the company. He wants everyone to see it (default "Visitors") and leave a Comment (default "Members").
I have customized List permissions for Comments as Visitors, broken inherited perms with parents to be sure the List perms are specific to Visitors of the List, and Visitors -- expectedly -- cannot post a Comment or see other Blog admin links (Add Post, Manage Comments etc).
When adding everyone to the Members group, then customizing under Advanced Settings so they can only edit their OWN content, the users can naturally post Comments. But as Members, they are still allowed to Manage posts, Comments, etc. Too many perms.
Visitor perms = insufficient
Customized "Members" perms = too much granted.
Need to constrain perm traits to posting/editing own Comments and nothing more except Read.
Despite List perm customization, and Advanced Settings customization, this Member perm still grants waayyyyyyy too many perms. I simply cannot permit every user to create posts, manage comments, etc.

thumbnailPhoto not in Attribute dropdown in Sharepoint 2016

I am trying to import pictures from AD with no success.
I notice that in the blog discussing it, the "thumbnailPhoto" <label for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_drpDSMapping">Attribute appears in the dropdown. In my Farm, it does not and I add it in the input box below.</label>

HarePoint Analytics has stopped
Hello,
I have HarePoint analytics running on my SharePoint site. It was working normally, and providing results. However, on Feb 24th, it stops producing any stats or results. It still brings up previous results, up until that date, however nothing new.
I have a picture but I cannot attach it. All the data after the 24th of Feb until today is just blank, no error, just no analytics. But all the analytics prior to the 24th of Feb are showing fine.

User missing from User Profile in SharePoint ONLINE...
Hello Experts,
This issue is regarding SharePoint Online.
I recently came across an issue where only one user is missing from User Profile in SharePoint Online, he is not able to login.
In Admin center, status shows Synced with AD, SharePoint Online License is assigned to him too. While login SharePoint error is: User name does not exists and a correlation ID.
Checked the "Profiles missing from import" property in Online too, his profile is not visible. But while checking in the site permissions, his name popups and doesn't comes in people picker.
Checked On-Prem 2013, user profile is visible there.
Can some please help. Is there any way to forcefully sync only one user profile with Online ?

Patches are missing/required in one of the server in SharePoint 2013 farm and not able to install missing patch
Hi All,
In our SharePoint farm, one of the server showing some of the the patches aremissing/required
when verified in central administration site ->Upgrade and Migration -> Check product and patch installation status
When we are trying to install missing patch, configuration wizard throwing error.
Please help and suggest the right way to overcome this issue as our farm needs to be upgraded as soon as possible.

Excel Calculation Services in sharepoint 2013 Onpremise

I have 3 WFE and 2 application servers in my sharepoint farm.As of now excel calculation service is configured in one of the application server.Every month I am facing issue with excel crash it may be due to heavy load or large data.
Can we run excel calculation services in 2 application server simultaneously.

SharePoint error when editing list
Hi All,
added a new column called "xxxx" to the list https:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/AllItems.aspx and when user uses the view called "xxxxxx" it gives an error when you use (not just that drop down list, but any drop down list).
It does actually appear to let you save, however, it first gives a red exclamation mark at the staring of the row and tells you it won't let you save, but when you click "don't save my changes" it does actually end up saving. If clicked on error,
displays only "#ERR".
I've also tested having a default value for the column, allowing fill-in choices, these did not fix it. One more thing, I've confirmed you can edit the list items via the form, rather than quick edit, without error. Please help to resolve this..

Record Management for Modern Team Sites
We have a license for Office 365 and will be deploying Modern Team and Communication sites. We are a big organization and hence our document libraries will hold a lot of content.
In the past, i have created a Record Center to archive data. But I used to work with Classic Team sites then. What's the best way to archive data with Modern Team sites in Office 365. Time to time users would need to examine archived data and may want to retrieve some of it.
I am thinking of using Document Center. Any thoughts or recommendations.

sharepoint service certificate validation error '0x6'
one application server in my sharepoint 2013 farm generates this error like every 5 mins:
An operation failed because the following certificate has validation errors: Subject Name: CN=SharePoint Services, OU=SharePoint, O=Microsoft, C=US Issuer Name: CN=SharePoint Root Authority, OU=SharePoint, O=Microsoft, C=US Thumbprint: 06E708AFB4151AFE934D98103CDA9291D761A00B Errors: SSL policy errors have been encountered. Error code '0x6'..
I know the referred certificate is used by sharepoint web service site in IIS. checked the certificate store by MMC, nothing seems wrong. this certificate seems being created by SharePoint when installed!?
What is that error code '0x6'? it is not '0x2' which was referred to most often by people.

PowerPivot Gallery "No Items to Show We can't open this workbook."
I am setting up a SP 2013 (Enterprise) install, and created a PowerPivot Site Site Collection. Everything seems to be working - I upload one Excel file to the PowerPivot Gallery, and that is fine. It renders the display images correctly. But then if I try to open the Excel file, I get the error:
No Items to Show We can't open this workbook. It's set to show only certain named items, but they aren't in the workbook. You might want to contact the author for more information.
I tried to "Open & Repair" the .xlsx file in Excel 2013 on my desktop, and then re-upload, but that did not fix things. I have no problem with other Excel files I've tried. Any suggestions here?
