SkyDrive Pro Sync Problems

$

Hi All,

We have on-premise Sharepoint 2013 at our company and we want to use SkyDrive Pro to share files in a department.

We could succesfully added files to Sharepoint and synced to some computers. But some users have troubles with SkyDrive Pro.

First of all Skydrive stops sync without a reason. After several unsuccessfull sync try i stopped syncing library and synced agains. This time SkyDrive Pro synced it but only folders not files in folders.

This user has Site Owner rights at site that library belongs. We couldn't find any event log record too.

Do you have any idea how can we figure out the error and solve?

Any help appreciated.

How to deploy a trial SharePoint 2013 _standard_ environment while waiting for official release ?

$

Dear all,

Microsoft kindly provides the SharePoint 2013 ISO & trial (180) enterprise license key which is really handy to already test-drive and prepare customer environment while waiting for the official Q1 release.

Unfortunately, deploying an enterprise farm will prevent "downgrading" to a standard farm once the license will be purchased leaving with the only option to backup the content, rebuilt the farm and re-inject the content (and do all configuration). On the other side, while easily understandable business wise, they might be tempted to use enterprise only functionalities (eg : content catalog, managed metadata navigation, image rendering, etc.) they won't have afterward risking to comprise the integrity of the content that will be restored on the standard license farm(s).

Some online retailers are already selling SharePoint 2013 standard license (eg: http://www.cdwg.com/shop/search/result.aspx?key=SharePoint%20Server%202013&SortBy=PriceDesc&searchscope=All) but I have no idea how trusty they are.

Basically it's not an issue about trying the product, the targeted customer will purchase it as soon as possible it's an issue about getting things ready / delivered for official launch with the license type that will be purchased (standard and NOT enterprise).

Thank you very much for your support.

Planning meetings from SharePoint 2010 - What are the available options

Hi,

I have a requirement where i need to plan a meeting from within the SharePoint 2010 application. The planner should be able to verify the users availability using calendar information from outlook and then plan a meeting with these users accordingly.

All the users whose availability is being verified by the planner are having read access on the SharePoint 2010 application.

Please provide your suggestions:

I have tried the group calendars but am facing the following issues:

- The SharePoint group calendar created does not provide a preview of the outlook calendar events for the users

- The events added in the SharePoint group calendar does not sync wit outlook.

- Also adding more than one users in the group calendar view disables the "Connect to Outlook"

Hello,

I am trying to enable FILESTREAM for SQL Server 2012 and SharePoint 2013. I've followed the following guides:

Unfortunately, I have not been able to get it to work. Everything appears to be installed correctly, however, when uploading a document, I get the following error:

"Sorry, something went wrong

The URL 'Shared Documents/My File Name.pdf' is invalid. It may refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current Web."

I've attached two images. The first one is the actual error, and the second one shows the BLOB store that was provisioned successfully. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sharepoint2013 - how to enable CMIS?

$

In sharepoint2010, you installed the admin kit.  In 2013, supposedly built in.

Trying to use http://<server>/_vti_bin/cmis/soap/RepositoryService.svc  to access RepositoryService.getRepositories(), with the hope this will show/list the repositoryId's needed for the AtomPub CMIS service.

Getting "Feature CMISProducer is not activated".  How do you active CMISProducer in 2013, and if there is additional information on sharepoint 2013 w/ CMIS usage examples would be great (not the brochure/whitepapers, I've already gone through most of them).

Thanky!

2012 SQL Server Reporting Services Service Error

I have installed 2 integrated report servers with SQL Server 2012.  When I go into Central Admin -> Manage Service Applications and click on my SQL Server Reporting Services Service I get the menu options.  When I click on "System Settings" I get an error.  When open the ULS log, it shows the following error:

When I open IIS and go to SharePoint Web Services, I don't have the site3bd7c904e9dc4781a1d0a629730dcf78.  When I go to IIS on my two Integrated Reporting Servers I do have the site.  For some reason SharePoint is trying to open the site off my APP server.  Any idea how to get SharePoint to open the site on my report servers instead?

Thanks,

Vincent

PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer Bug

When I create a PerformancePoint report using PP Dashboard Designer and click preview, I get an error.  The error says my rdl cannot be found.

In Designer the report URL is: http://webapp.mysite.com/mysite/report.rdl

In the error I have http://webapp.mysite.com/mysite/mysite/report.rdl

for some reason it is duplicating the site name in the rdl path.  Does anyone know what is causing this or how to prevent it?

Thanks,

Vincent

SharePoint 2013 Productivity Hub Desired

I am not sure how many of you has heard of or used the SharePoint 2010 Productivity Hub.  One of the best resources Microsoft has put out in my opinion for Microsoft products in general.  I know 2013 is just starting to ramp up, but I am going to get the fires lit so we can see this for the newest version of SharePoint.  Microsoft, on behalf of the SharePoint community I ask that you continue to make available this great resource for SharePoint 2013.

Thank you in Advance!

SharePoint 2013 new installation errors

$

I am a SharePoint newb and have attempted my first installation. I am receiving quite a few error messages that I believe to be related. Cursory research indicates problems with database connectivity and/or account permissions.

Specific errors are ID #3760, 5214, and 6398.

Installation specifics:

SharePoint 2013 Ent. (Farm), SQL 2012 Std. installed on same Hyper-V machine.

Account specifics:

sql_admin- domain account. Also local machine admin account. Used this account to install SQL 2012.

sharepoint_admin- domain account. Also local machine admin account. Used this account to install SharePoint. This is also the account I use to log in to SharePoint with and access the Central Administration site.

sharepoint_farm- domain account. Also local machine account (added to local as I read it needed to be in order to run user profile synchronization). This was specified as my database access account when I installed SharePoint.

sharepoint_service- domain account only. This is the service account I specified during the Farm Configuration wizard.

I am not looking for any person to resolve all of my issues here. But rather I am looking for someone that can suggest some kind of "big picture" issue that I am overlooking.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to take a look at this and point me in the right direction.

I'm testing out the Access 2013 Services and have followed the steps listed in http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/12514.sharepoint-2013-access-services.aspx

When publishing a new Web App (custom or template) from Access 2013 I get the following error

Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

I don't see anything in the even viewer as far as errors go, just a couple events showing that permissions have been provisioned for the service.

How do I go about troubleshooting this?

Hello All!

Recently I migrated our exchange server from 2003 to 2010, it works well. But when I use OWA to log in, in the control panel, when I clicked the "Options"button, it showed "change password","Create rule"..., when I choose each one of the above actions, the OWA logged off itself, and in the loggin page, whatever user name or PWD I inputted, it did not allow me to login the OWA again.

any suggestions? Thank you very much.

Exchange tasks and the Work Management Service

$

Hi

I am struggling with the work management service.

It works within SharePoint and also with Project Server tasks. But I do not get my Exchange tasks replicated.

I followed http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj554516(office.15).aspx for the configuration.

The SharePoint / Exchange interaction should work in the system - I have the site mailboxes feature up and running and the prerequisites (Exchange Managed API and OAuth Trust) are the same.

The only thing I find in the logs that might be related to the issue is:
