I have 2 app and Wfe servers in which one WFER server have Workflow manager Cu2 installed in it. Now Im planning to upgrade Worflow manger from CU2 to CU3.
So after installing, it needs configuration i guess and which is option i have to select from below since i have Workflow already running in my server with CU2:
-Configure Workflow manager with Default setting
-Configure Workflow manager with CUstom setting
-Join an existing workflow manger farm
I face issue in WFE(where workflow installed) server, Workflow Backend service restarts every 10 minutes and crashing, But it doent stops running. it gives below error in eventvwr every 10 min;
Anybody know how to fix this isssue???

I have to import a subsite from 1 site collection to another but without data. Basically we need to have the site's look and feel (customized with css, js, html), overall design and structure. Data should be avoided.
Is there a powershell script which could help us do it?
Another Option - Saving the source site as template (without data) and then bringing the template to the destination site collection
and then creating a new site from it? But I guess since we will be saving site w/o data, its css, js, html code will not come along. Am I right?
I am setting up a SP 2013 (Enterprise) install, and created a PowerPivot Site Site Collection. Everything seems to be working - I upload one Excel file to the PowerPivot Gallery, and that is fine. It renders the display images correctly. But then if I try to open the Excel file, I get the error:
No Items to Show We can't open this workbook. It's set to show only certain named items, but they aren't in the workbook. You might want to contact the author for more information.
I tried to "Open & Repair" the .xlsx file in Excel 2013 on my desktop, and then re-upload, but that did not fix things. I have no problem with other Excel files I've tried. Any suggestions here?

In my environment, I have a web application, root site collection already. I just want to create a new site collection under the same webapp with HNSC. I executed the powershell command which created the HNSC based site collections successfully. I can see from central admin that the hosted named site collection created under view all site collections.
New-SPSite -url $SiteURL -HostHeaderWebApplication $HostURL -owneralias $OwnerID -owneremail $OwnerMail -Template $TemplateVal
However when I tried to access http://hnsc.portal.com it redirects "Page cant be displayed". I then added a host entry in the SP server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx hnsc.portal.com and it redirects "website not found error"
Will you please suggest me what configurations I am missing?
Is there any IIS binding or Alternate access mapping I should configure? Does it require DNS entry in domain? Will you please provide me steps?

The current MS recommendation is for us all to use HNSC as "this is the way it is done in Office 365".
Yet, all the documentation I have found indicates that HNSC are not available for SharePoint Online (part of Office 365). See the following:

My company has just started using SharePoint Online Plan 2 and can confirm it is not possible to use HNSC.
So... why are MS recommending HNSC when you cannot actually implement them in SharePoint Online???

I have sharepoint 2013 on-premises farm. and i run the below command to do a full farm backup, as follow:-
$ssa = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication -Identity "Search Service Application" Suspend-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication -Identity $ssa Backup-SPFarm -Directory \\****fileserv111\FarmBackUp\ -BackupMethod full -BackupThreads 10 -Force
but the farm backup failed with this error:-

now i remember that i received this error in the past, and at that time i found that the problem is related if the search service is running while i am doing the farm backup. so after that i added the below code before starting the actual farm back-
$ssa = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication -Identity "Search Service Application" Suspend-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication -Identity $ssa
and since then i did not receive this error again .. but today this error came back.. so can anyone adivce on this please?

This is a side branch from a problem previously posted under here.
As discussed in a previous forum discussion, the overall problem of No SharePoint Properties Found was finally resolved in the latest cu's pushed out September/October 2018 timeframes, and O365 updates of 1808 through 1810.
However, our organization noted that some site collections in a specific web application continue to have this problem of "No SharePoint Properties Found" while other site collections within the same web application are now fixed.
Let me restate the problem. We open a word document from a specific site collection and when Word O365 is open, the dip panel will show the error below:
We're not sure what the problem is and here are steps we have taken to try and resolve this issue:
Any other suggestions about for resolving this issue would be welcomed.

Hi, we have a lot of experience working with Content Types on sharepoint web applications and we decided to create an application using Forms Based Authenthication as well as Windows Authentication (NTLM) claims based authentication (in the default zone) on a sharepoint 2013 web application. However the new application is not integrating well with Office 365, and we're wondering if anyone might know why?
We have Require Use Remote Interfaces permissions and Enable Client Integration checked under the default zone.
In our Library, we have Always show Document Information Panel on document open and initial save for this content type checked, for the content types in question.
However, when we open a Word document from the Library using Office 365 Version 1804 or 1803 (for that matter), we see the message thatNo SharePoint properties are found.

I've searched other threads about the issue of 'Failed to create sample data' at step 8 of the configuration wizard. Many came forward to say "share the Analytics_GUID" folder with the admin account on the server.
I've looked in the folder path Program Files > Windows Sharepoint Service > 15.0 > Data
There is no Analytics_(GUID), to share.

but the problem is that the incremental crawl is running on time @ 11:05 ,11:15, 11:25 etc as follow:-
and when the incremental crawl correct time is met, nothing will run,but the above "next incremental crawl" time will be updated only. also i define to run the full crawl dally @ 2:00 am but at 1:55 the full crawl will start.

We noticed a
new user ID with tons of these contacts created automatically today on our
SharePoint 2013 - 2 WFE NLB production server. Any idea on this service account
or contact? I double checked IT and nobody was created these. The First Name
details listed as subsite title. The screenshot shows similar to the screen

you more background, we applied Windows Server 2012 security
patches on WFE servers and Sept 2018 security SP security patches and Sept
2018 SP CU updates after testing in development. we didn't notice any
issues after successful completion. after after 2 days we noticed these new
user id association with recordcenter name association.<o:p></o:p>
We really
want to remove and block it if nothing related to SP.<o:p></o:p>
