hi every body

recently i ask a question below

 https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/b2550336-1a85-428f-a2f7-a5d0be514ded/application-pool-crash?forum=sharepointadmin

@will (he) answered me and lead me to iis problems.

for that problem i check everything.

so what I say in that thread i got stuck in application pool crash and event viewer show CLR dll in .net frame work as fault module.

I worked a lot and search the internet but i couldn't find any useful.

i checked all logs in sharepoint and iis and event viewer(i said in previous thread) but i didn't find my problem

i install debug diag software and try to make dump file but it isn't any information mini dump file like this:

Entry point   ntdll!RtlUserThreadStart+34
Create time   11/12/2016 1:55:58 AM
Time spent in user mode   0 Days 00:00:00.00
Time spent in kernel mode   0 Days 00:00:00.00
This thread is not fully resolved and may or may not be a problem. Further analysis of these threads may be required.

Function   Source
ntdll!NtWaitForSingleObject+a
KERNELBASE!WaitForSingleObjectEx+94
clr!GetMetaDataPublicInterfaceFromInternal+8d67
clr!GetMetaDataPublicInterfaceFromInternal+8d1f
clr!GetMetaDataPublicInterfaceFromInternal+8ce0
clr!TranslateSecurityAttributes+1548a2
clr!TranslateSecurityAttributes+154c8f
kernel32!BaseThreadInitThunk+22
ntdll!RtlUserThreadStart+34

I searched about functions that called

i search about that but i can't find any usefull thing.

I decided raise the RAM of the server

the previous resource is 24 GB and now it is 40GB

I tought this resource is ok but the crash application pool persist.

i decided to divide application pool i have 5 application pool and every app pool contains 1 to 4 web application(some of them one some of them 4). i create 8 application pool .some of them contains 1 web application.

i suprise when the next day i don't have any crash in application pool!!!!!

more application pools is better!!!!!????

Hi,

I have one question SharePoint content DB. One of content DBs is more than 200GB which we didn't expected, so is it going to effect entire SHarePoint farm or only the site collections which are in that content data base?

Please advise.

How to move root site collection to different farm that uses Host Named Site Collections

$

I need to move a SP 2013 root site collection and content (contained in single db) to a different SP 2013 farm in same forest on different SQL instance that uses Host Named Site Collections on a single web app. The source URL (internal.dept.contoso.edu) needs to stay the same URL but fortunately same domain as target web app (hnsc.dept.contoso.edu) . Do I create the target HNSC and content database first then do a site collection backup on source and restore to new HNSC? Or should I detach source content database, move files to target SQL instance, and attach to target SQL?

Fields from Additional Content Type not shown in New & Edit

Hello,

I enabled "Allow management of content types" for a list on my Sharepoint Site (SharePoint 2013)  and added a an earlier created Site Content Type. The columns of that content type are shown just fine within the column listing of that list and I can add those columns to views.

But I have haven't  found way to get the columns from the Site Content Type show in the "New" and "Edit" edit forms. Any tips for me?

Thanks and best regards,

Sven

SharePoint 2013 List Quick Edit - The user does not exist or is not unique

$

When attempting to save after copying and pasting rows in a list using quick edit the save fails with a error message of "The user does not exist or is not unique."

Background:  These lists all have a "person" column.  The lists were migrated from SharePoint 2007 to 2013 using DocAve.  We're in an environment using ADFS and NTLM.

The other information I've found searching the internet seems to refer to a known issue with commas in display names (AD); we do not use commas in display names here.

Hello -

I have a document library on one site that contains an Excel file (Excel1.xlsx).
I have another document library in a different site with a different Excel file (Excel2.xlsx).

How can I set it so that certain cells from Excel1 are getting populated into Excel2?

I tried using a formula, but I think my syntax may be incorrect.

Sharepoint 2016 Landing page question.

Hello everyone,

I have an app, let's call it Ionut.com built on sharepoint 2016. The app has a site for every company and the sites appear as :

ionut.com/sites/blablagiberishurl1

ionut.com/sites/blablagiberishurl2

ionut.com/sites/blablagiberishurl3  and so on. On the 'Landing page' ionut.com you can see all the sites you have access on.

My client who has access on the sites (URL1 and URL2L) he doesn't see the URL2 site.

Any ideeas? Is there any setting i need to do on platform level? Any setting on site level?

(It has the required properties to be displayed there:archived= false and ionutsitezone= external)

So it should be displayed in the External zone of the Ionut.com landing page. But it doesn't.

Ideeas?

Remove orphaned databases on SharePoint 2013

Hi all,

I have 3 servers whereby SharePoint Foundation 2013 (Server 1), SQL Server Mgt Studio (Server 2) and SharePoint Server 2013 (Server 3) are installed respectively.

Before I was using SharePoint Foundation 2013 on  Server 1 and now we have moved to SharePoint Server 2013 (Server 3). Server 1 is now redundant. Since I am using the same database server for both SharePoint applications, it seems that there are many orphaned databases created.

Recently, my database server has lost trust relationship on its domain and I had to run the SharePoint Configuration Wizard to make SharePoint Server 2013 (Server 3) up and running. Maybe this wizard configuration has created databases again.

Is there any possibility to know which respective databases belong to SharePoint Foundation 2013 and SharePoint Server 2013 (Server 3) and how to discard the orphaned databases?

Thanks to advise.

Manage Profile Services - Unable to edit User Properties or User Profiles

$

SharePoint 2013 - fresh site, with Mysites, and the User Profile Service running.  The UPS is ran under a separate account, and the farm account has securityAdmin rights and directory replication rights.

When I enter Manage User Properties, I get a complete list of properties but no way to edit them, the same happens when I go into User Profile Properties, there is no where to edit the users.  Has anyone seen this before and if so what step have I missed in setting the UPS and MySites Up.

Both Administrator and Farm Admin have Administrator rights to the UPS Application, and it's the Profile User Service that's running at the minute not the Profile User Synchronization Service.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

David

Sharepoint 2013 - Restore a deleted folder and contents deleted from the second level recylce bin from the Sharepoint contents database in SQL 2014

$

Hi, I am currently recovering some files that are not in the second level recycle bin by using the textcopy.exe from the SQL 2000 resource kit on my SQL 2014 server where the Sharepoint content database is located, I have searched and found the file name and now I am going to try to restore it.

Please let me know if I am going in the right direction to restore these files as I have to create a new SQL server to perform these restore tasks, or if there is a better method than the in the article below that I am following.

Also, is there a method to restore entire folders not just files?

This is the article I am following:

Can not access sharepoint 2013 site I am getting 401 unauthorized

Hi everyone,

I cant access my sharepoint root site on the server.

I always get blank white page and little text saying: "401 unauthorized".

I use active directory for logins and NTLM in SP settings. I am 100% sure that my login is right.

I tried to fix it by DisableLoopbackCheck a BackHostConnectionNames and it still doesnt work.

Could you help me where next should be the problem?

Thank you for your replies.

Assign Access to Multiple Folders

Good afternoon

I have the following folder structure:

intranet.myschool.edu/folder1/folder2/folder3/file1
intranet.myschool.edu/folder1/folder2/folder3/file2
intranet.myschool.edu/folder1/folder2/folder3/file3
... and so on.

Is there a quick way to provide a user with access to all files and folders in the "folder1" path? Something other than granting access to each folder and file individually? Once my organization moves to a Managed Metadata environment, I know that this will be easier. I'm wondering whether another alternative exists. I'm interested in no-code options that a non-technical site owner could use.  (I know that this can be done in C# and PowerShell).

Thank you.

SharePoint 2013 - SharePoint Sites not Working on Secondary Sites

$

Hi,

We have an issue with SharePoint Sites

SharePoint 2013 all patched up

1 application server, Separate SQL Server

The content database for out SharePoint 2013 site was getting too big

We set up a separate site and all new content added goes there.

SharePoint sites worked for some but not all people when adding from the old site.

Sites added from the new site consistently do not appear in Explorer

Fiddler throws up a heap of 500 Web server errors

We are using Kerberos within the trusted zone. Transition between the two sites is seamless otherwise

We've had mixed experiences with SharePoint Sites which have become worse we upgraded to Office 365.

Anyone else had similar issues?

Thank you
