i want to synchronize my tasks from the personal MySite and the tasks from the website collections with Exchange.
The problem is, that the synchronization from tasks between MySite and Exchange works without problems. I can create there a task and it synchronizes to Outlook via Exchange.
But if i create a tasks on a website - for example on my Teamsite - the synchronization doesn't work. The error message by clicking on the button Synchronize with Sharepoint is:
"Synchronization has been disabled because of erros. Last attempt at 2015/09/09 08:34:00 am."
I have all the things from Technet done, which are needed for configuring the Exchange Task Synchronization.
Can everyone help me - i don't know even more what to do.

how to store country-products based access rights for sharepoint user based on AD?
I can only create sharepoint groups like approver1,2,3.. and I can not create multiple sp or AD groups because country-products combination is very big like country1-prodcut1,2,3-country2-product3,4,7 etc.
Can I use user profile properties? I just want to store these values and based on these I can show proposals for each user.

I have setup and configured a SharePoint server 2013 on windows server 2012. Database server is MSSQL server 2012 SP1 on windows server 2012 R2 .
Installation of SharePoint 2013 went smoothly without any warnings or errors but app fabric "Distributedcache" service did not start automatically . I have followed below URL to configure it :

NOTE: I have not applied any latest App Fabric CU on server yet. It is still App Fabric CU 1 ( installed default during prereq installation ) .
I have applied March PU 2013 and later October CU 2013 on the server . Now, recently applied SharePoint server 2013 SP 1 also.
" Distributedcache " service is till in disabled state . Can anyone recommend me as how can I start this service ? Any steps need to be followed ?

I recently updated security patch for SharePoint KB3054858 (MS15-081: Security update for Word Automation Services on SharePoint Server 2013: August 11, 2015)
Now I cannot follow or unfollow documents or site using the default Follow button.
Every user gets an error message "Something went wrong"

Search, UPS, MySites ... are working fine.
Current SP version is 15.0.4737.1000 (July 2015)
I have the same issues on 4 different farm I manage (dev, test, prod).
Is there any help or has anyone else seen this problem (and hopefully has a solution for me?)

I have three SharePoint farms 2003 , 2007 and 2013 . Below is the requirement .
1. Move all the lists with data and attachments from 2003 to 2013 and 2003 to 2007
2. Move all the lists with data and attachments from 2007 to 2013 .
2013 farm is brand new and yet to build , 2003 SharePoint server will be decommissioned and will maintain 2007 and 2013 , both should have same data .
I need your suggestions to do this smoothly.

July 2015 CU patch seemed to work fine but getting the "Database require upgrade or not supported" on my 2013 farm. Digging deeper I can see it is the subscription settings DB that is listed as needing upgraded. All the rest are up to date. I tried running psconfig on all the farm servers once again and while it finishes this db does not upgrade. Tried running get-spproduct -local and then running psconfig wizard but still no change.
Not sure what to do next.

I was trying to extend SharePoint - 80 site, but when I clicked on Extend button then it show error - "Sorry, something went wrong. The web application could not be extended because an unused zone could not be found. Unextend the web application from the zone that you intend to use for the new IIS web site before performing this operation.
As I know, I already tried to extend site more than one zone and then deleted that site from SharePoint 2013 Admin -> Alternate Access Mapping and also from IIS but I didn't use "Remove SharePoint from IIS Web Site". After used all zone now I am unable to extend SharePoint - 80 site. I think the site is not deleted properly or it's not reflected in database.
Please suggest.

Hello, its me again and its a new question, this question for SharePoint search lovers, so let's get started.
in a while, I used to get an error in search index, which is "Sorry, something went wrong" >> I hate this error, of course with a correlation ID, anyway, I used to fix this issue by clearing the config XML files and reset the index and its working fine after that for a while, and then I get the same error again and again and again, and keep fixing it as the same way, so my question is how can I solve this error permanently I don't want to see it again, waiting your solutions and thoughts, please don't hesitate to drop a solution here if you think it's going to help.

We have set up SSRS service application in our farm and we are able to deploy ssrs reports from our SQL server which is attached to the farm and this SQL server has SSRS installed in SharePoint integrated mode which was a pre-requisite to have ssrs with SP.
Now we have another user who is in the same company (same network) and his team has a SQL server (not attached to our SP Farm) and he wants to deploy reports to his SharePointsite hosted in our environment.Should he also need to have ssrs installed in SharePoint integrated mode inorder to deploy to the site in our farm ? If so can his SQL server have SSRS installed in both Native and SharePoint integrated mode at the same time ?

I am setting up a Share Point 2013 environment where half my user are on a separate domain that does not have a trust relationship with the domain the servers are on. This site is for data presentation via reporting services, excel services, performance
point etc. I need help designing the security architecture. On a basic level deciding between NTLM and kerberos. So the users from the untrusted domain are going to be falling back to NTLM anyway as I understand it so it seems like
I might as well just go with the simpler protocol. But, there are places where I've seen that say excel services, performance point etc. require C2WTS to translate claims to windows credentials and C2WTS requires kerberos.
I'm unsure if these means you need kerberos everywhere or just directly related to the services or even if this statement is accurate. It's fine if our services authenticate to the data providers (all on the trusted domain) with a separate id from the
users. That's what we do now.
I have set up a Share Point 2010 setup using kerberos. It was difficult. Working with my domain folks to get the SPNs and delegation setup is painful and we have had continual problems with powerpivot authentication. So I have some motivation to try something different on our new platform if it makes sense. I was hoping claims based authentication would fix some of it, but it looks like it doesn't impact the BI stuff much.
Any advice anyone has on how to set this up will be greatly appreciated.
One other bonus topic. I do have a SAML authenticator available that works across both domains. Could I use this to authenticate users, which as I understand it won't support kerberos, and still have all my BI tools work? Right now the users on the untrusted domain have to log in when they come into Share Point. This would solve that I think and also solve authentication which we pass the users through to some items that are already authenticated via this other provider. Am I totally off track here?
Somehow, the security in Share Point doesn't click with me and I'm hoping there is someone out there with a deeper understanding who can guide me a bit.
