I have 2 standalone PowerPivot analysis servers which I have registered as part of Excel Services.
I assume that if I upload a PowerPivot I should see it in both servers when I open the PowerPivot server SSMS?

In our environment for SharePoint AD groups are associated with individual AD members and AD group is given access to SharePoint group with a permission level. When I want to check for a user who are part on the AD group using check permission to find their SharePoint permission level it returns "none", but when I check what permission level the AD group has check permission returns correct permission level.
I am not sure if this is the right behavior for SharePoint 2013 not to display individual AD user permission using check permission, business users have to request IT every time they have to find a user permission level.

But still I don't see any newsfeed - when I try to add a status message from the Portal I get this:

I have been tasked with eliminating the CSRF exposure in our SharePoint 2013 farm. I have been reading several blogs about this issue and it seems a rather complicated procedure. I would love to know if anyone had implemented any antiCSRF procedures on SharePoint. I have read a few blogs about SharePoint being antiCSRF out of the box but have yet to read the definitive article stating that. Any help with this would really be appreciated.

We have several SharePoint 2013 sites which, when the option called "User must change password at next logon" is checked on a user's Active Directory account, the user is not allowed to login to the SharePoint site. Is this something that needs to be changed on the SharePoint end to resolve?

I'm not sure whether some People Picker properties are workable in SharePoint 2013. I've tried with the following command in my SharePoint 2013 environment but can't seem to make it work so far.
stsadm -o setproperty -url http://contoso.com -pn peoplepicker-searchadcustomfilter -pv "(&(objectCategory=Person)(objectClass=User)(memberOf=OU=Sales,DC=contoso,DC=com))"
I've also tried with the following command:

We are planning to install OWAS 2013 in a large enterprise. It is going to be an installation working with a custom WOPI Client only (no SharePoint)
There will be a lot of users using this service(viewing and editing Word/Excel/PowerPoint). I am struggeling to find any good resources on how to setup and configure OWAS in a large enterprise.
We currently have a load balancer in place and full install OWAS server farm of 3 servers at the moment for a small number of users, but when we exit the pilot phase there will be thousands of users.
I am asking in this forum since OWAS is mostly used with Sharepoint and hopefully someone has some experience on this or can somehow point me in the right direction. I can find very little information about the inner workings of OWAS and how to deploy and optimize such a solution.

My question is can I use this alias to setup SharePoint or I need to configure the HA AlwaysOn group for SgharePoint as suggested in the article below:

I am working on a Script where I should be able to launch all the web applications in the browser to open in tabs.
I have worked out with the following script and was able to come upto an extent where I am able to launch the Internet Explorer.But ....only 1 web app opens up and throws an error message :

I have a strange issue. In our environment we have 2 web applications with team site templates:
I referred to several sites that talk about this
issue.

1. I need to clean the entire farm in my machine by deleting all the service applications, web applications, related databases and I want to restore the farm using the backup file which I have.

Is there any possibility to disable changing of URL and/or site description of SharePoint subsite via the "Title, Description, Logo" setting?
To reduce issues with our site owners, we are wanting to disable the ability to change these site settings.

First, disable Library/List Settings > Form Settings > Customize to Infopath form.
Second, disable the ribbon button "Customize Form" when the list is focus.

I have a calculated column that sums up the following: =SUM([2013 and prior], [January 2014], [February 2014], [March 2014], [April 2014], [May 2014], [June 2014], [July 2014], [August 2014], [September 2014], [October 2014], [November 2014], [December 2014], [January 2015], [February 2015], [March 2015], [April 2015])
I receive the #NULL! error because some of the cells are blank in some of the fields. Is there an easy fix to this problem? Why would an error generate for a blank cell? Shouldn't a formula like this always default to ignoring blank cells?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Nevermind, I found that I can add the entire list from the Apps Category. Now, how can I limit the columns for the list that show up in the web part?

How can have SharePoint search custom columns in a custom list? I have a custom list for a directory with names, department, title and phone numbers. Department and titles are not searchable with the search box for the list.
How can I make these 2 custom columns searchable?

How can I improve load time for Pre Query Suggestions on search home page when user start typing ??
I notice it was slow in loading when I hit first time in the morning so I try to warm up by adding
""http://SiteName/_api/search/suggest?querytext='sharepoint' ""
in to warm up script but even during the day time after hitting few times it is slower some times . Any reason ?
Do you think moving Query Component to WFE will do any help here?
