I am trying to install a provider hosted app in SharePoint 2013. Installation goes for about 15mins and get "Sorry, something went wrong with adding the app. Click to retry."

Hi there,

We have not been able to Set up Commercial SSL Certificate for SharePoint 2013 Web Application and Site Collections Hosted on Azure after so many attempts.

Our SharePoint 2013 web application and site collections are set up on Azure and we have to use the http://mycompanyname.cloudapp.net domain.

When we try to down the trial VeriSign SSL Certificate, we could not use http://mycompanyname.cloudapp.net domain so we had to use www://mycompanyname.com domain to download the Trial SSL Certificate.

As a result, the SSL Certificates were not configured successfully.

Please could you guide me how to Set up Commercial SSL Certificate for SharePoint 2013 Web Application and Site Collections Hosted on Azure?

We have been experiencing issue where users are running Powershell Scripts against our production Farm using Web services, provided site owners access provileges they have. we want to set some sort of Block and Check mechanism from farm level to block users to be able to do that. Are there any suggested way to go on this pathway, can community suggest me any sorts of solutions here. I dont want users to be running malicious codes or scripts against my farm. Any suggestions would be very beneficial.

What are the license requirement to use "Sync with sharepoint" for MS Project?

We have a SP2013 farm (standard edition) and we are planning to purchase MS Project for our PMs.

After reading this I believe MS Project Professional can use "sync with sharepoint" feature to sync tasks to Sharepoint site:

My question is:

1. Only MS Project professional can support this feature (standard not support)?

2. Which edition of SP2013 support this feature?

3. Do the Sharepoint admin need to create a site or change some configuration to enable this feature?

Problem creating web application on port 80

In our SharePoint 2010 environment we had two sites on port 80: http://sharepoint and http://intranet

During the SP2013 upgrade, I used this powershell script to create an NTLM-based web application and then converted one of the sites (http://sharepoint) to claims-based authentication.    Everything worked fine.

New-SPWebApplication -Name "SharePoint" -Port 80 -url http://sharepoint -ApplicationPool "ClassicAppPool" -AuthenticationMethod "NTLM" -ApplicationPoolAccount (Get-SPManagedAccount "domain\spadmin")

Now, I am trying to do the same with the other site (http://intranet) using same method (first create NTLM web application, attach database upgrade, then convert to claims) and get the error below.   Should I be using the HostHeaders command to set up another site on 80?

if I enter 50%, it becomes 51098%,

I installed sharepoint 2013 on windows server 2008 R2 SP1 in standalone mode.
When I ran configuration wizard, I encountered an Error (Failed to create sample data) and I fixed it with a solution mentioned here (http://squidpip.com/blog/sharepoint-2013-preview-configuration/).
After that, I opened Central Administration and I saw the message: "The SharePoint Health Analyzer has detected some critical issues that require your attention. View these issues."

the issues are:

More Cache hosts are running in this deployment than are registered with SharePoint. (warning)
Distributed cache service is not enabled in this deployment. (error)
This Distributed Cache host may cause cache reliability problems. (warning)

The warnings say the AppFabric must be Stopped, but the error solution says Distributed Cache Service must be started.

I do many searched in google, but I couldn't fix these problems and I really confused.
Is there anybody to help me?

Crawl is not working properly

Dear Team,

A document(size is 66MB) is not crawling in SharePoint 2013. Getting warning like "The file reached the maximum download limit. Check that the full text of the document can be meaningfully crawled"(we can see this message in Crawl log-url for the document).

MaxDownloadSize was 64 MB and MaxGrowFactor was 4. I increased MaxDownloadSize to 128 MB and MaxGrowFactor to 4. Then restarted the server and done full crawl. But still getting the warning exists like "The file reached the maximum download limit. Check that the full text of the document can be meaningfully crawled"(we can see this message in Crawl log-url for the document).

Kindly let me know the solution for this issue.

When I navigate to site setting >Popularity trends>Usage report and generate the excel report, I get to see the Dialy report and Monthly report.

In Dialy report I can see only for 14 days, which I would like to alter to show me 30 days of data rather.

Can you please let me know how to do this and/or whether is this possible.

Am configuring my laptop for demo so installing windows 2012 r2 essentials (which requires to be the DC). I know SharePoint 2013 server is not recommended to be installed on the DC. I have seen the Workflow 2013 is not supported on the DC but still can work with the 2010 workflow. any other SharePoint 2013 features are not available on the DC ? From the SQL Server perspective this will only be a security issue the way I see, but am using this laptop for demo/test only.

I have an issue in sharepoint 2013 site. I am getting the below error.

Method 'get_IsClientValid' in type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowServices.WorkflowServiceApplicationProxy' from assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowServices, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' does not have an implementation.

Central admin site is working fine. I am not able to open the web applications.

The issue happened in our production server.

I'm getting this error when opening any PowerView report or workbook in my SharePoint 2013 farm. The PowerPivot and SSRS for SharePoint add-in has been installed on all web and app servers and I can confirm the "adhocreportdesigner.aspx" file is where it should be.

Can anyone help?
