I’m new to Sharepoint. I’ve got a sharepoint 2013 Site with some issues.

My sharepoint email is working fine and sends the notification email like “somebody has shared something with you” but when I assign a task to somebody it do not sends the notification email to that person.

I looked around and found that the mysite is not working fine. When users open their profile they cannot change their profile picture and they get the access denied. Neither I Can’t. When we ask for permission in the box opened we receive the 403 Forbidden Error.

Really don’t know where to start and some how confused.

I have tested below condition and everything in right place but still I am not able to start the services

1. You must run the UPA Service Instance as the Farm Account.
2. Farm Account must be a local administrator of the machine running the UPA Service Instance during provisioning only.
3. Farm Account must have Log on Locally rights.
4. The Synchronization Connection Account must have Replicating Directory Changes..
5. Sharepoint webservices application pool  started  in IIS.

During the start process it get this error.

Running Central Administration on more than one server in the farm is 100% supported and indeed a recommended best practice on SharePoint 2010.

Is Load Balancing on Central Administrationsupported for SharePoint 2013?

Is Implementing Kerberos Authentication for load balanced Central Administration 100% supported in SharePoint 2013?

Is Implementing Central Administration on Port 80 or 443 100% supported on SharePoint 2013?

I’ve read a article about from Spence  Harbar. I would like to know of this is supported for SharePoint 2013?

I am wondering what are the functionalities RM provides however load balancer. I was thinking that health based routing RM can provide however load balancer can't. But it seems that load balancer can also provide this functionality , refer below link.<o:p></o:p>

 I am little bit confused here.

 I have a  Sharepoint 2013 farm with two appliction servers in HLB. One of the servers is not working correctly, so I am going to unistall Sharepoint  using Control Panel.

I want add a new server to the farm from scratch. I have 3 solutions created by my company and Nintex installed on the farm.

I know I need to insall Nintex on the new server, but I am not sure what to do with the 3 solutions.

Should I install the as well on the new server?

I have configured FBA authentication for one of the sites, The users are stored in the Sql Database. Now the issue I am having is that when the user logs in on the site, it displays the login-id instead of his or her Name. For eg. It shows as "Jwoods" instead of "John Woods".  If this is something which can not be fixed OOB. Suggest some Third party tools that you might ware of.

I have seen in couple of DR SharePoint implementations, in all the implementations Logging shipping is used for DR database synchronization. I am wondering, is there any specific scenario in SharePoint where it is worth to explore other synchronization approaches e.g. mirroring & replication.

I've got a question related to best way to deploy on-premise apps.  I understand that there needs to be a separate domain, i.e. companyapps.com, but I am trying to determine how to best handle this with a test and prod environment.  I figure developers will work isolated so I am not worried to much about there environments, but when it comes to testing the solutions before going to prod can I use the same domain for both test and prod or would be better to have more than one, i.e companyapps.com and companytestapps.com.

The access files only gives  ‘open’ option & once the file is opened the changes are saved in the copy downloaded in the PC not on the one in the portal?

we have started a migration from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. But for a while we will need to use both...

In Our test-environment we have moved "shareable" services from the 2010 farm to the 2013 farm and it Works well.

MMS is moved and Connected - and Works fine.

But when we tried the same in Our prod-environment we got a couple of problems.

First when trying to Connect search-service from the 2010-farm to the newly moved search-service on the 2013-farm, in the second page we doesn't get the search service in the list of available services to Select. We've set up the service on the 2013 farm, added the 2010-farm in permissions, and published the service on the 2013 farm... No error messageses...we just can't see or Select the service in the Connection set up... Anyone ?

Second we have problems making a Connection to the User profile service. We can make all setting and create the Connection in the 2010-farm. But when we set the New User profile service Connection as the default user profile service, we get problems in our farm showing content, and it is errors in the eventlog and SPS logs about User profile sync and Access denied. The app-pool user is added in permissions... Anyone?

we have an AD domain we use in combination with exchange and website panel for multiple customers.

Now 1 of these customers needs a sharepoint site. This sharepoint installation will run specifically for them so managing it through website panel isn't desirable.

Basically we're looking for a way to limit the users' visibility of other customers users accounts in the same AD. Can this be done? In exchange they do it through custom address lists and that kind of stuff. Can the same be done with sharepoint. If possible we would like them to be unable to see groups/users that aren't part of their OU (it's fine if they see OU's below their own OU though).

I've been searching a bit but probably with the wrong terminology as there's little I find.

Any pointers would be great.

When I use the out-of-the-box Pending Approval view under 'Site Content and Structure', it only shows me pending items for the current site, not any subsites. I would like our main approvers to be able to see a consolidated list of pending items so that they don't need to navigate to the subsites individually. 

The description of the view states that it should display pending items for subsites, so what am I missing?  I know that it won't display only "my" pending items as the description says (I can tell that from the CAML query), but that's a different matter altogether.

There is an environment of install Office Web Apps 2013 for SharePoint 2013 – with PDF Preview.

Having been able to use it without any problems.
One day, a preview of the Excel does not work properly.

Error or do not know the contents of the following, a solution to solve this issue anyone?
