We are using the SharePoint 2013 server on top of Windows 2012.
We've recently created user profile application service and activated the Site Feed feature.
After that one of our users experiences an annoying thing, she is being redirected from the Home Page to another page that says "Edit user settings" and "User settings not initialized ". No other user is experiencing these issues. Please help.
I created an audience in sharepoint 2013 central admin. I then went and created a promoted site to be pushed out to the users mysites. I then deleted the audience. When I went back into the promoted sites section I am now getting an error saying that
"Your search encountered an error. If the problem persists, contact the portal site administrator."
Has anyone seen this before or know of a fix?
I have already tried to recreate the audience and run a full crawl, still no luck...........

We are currently building our SharePoint 2013 farm and have followed the instructions on how to set Apps correctly, followed by setting Access Services 2013.
At this point it seems that (at last) Access apps can be created, and we can control them using Microsoft Access 2013 client. We can add tables, build forms and queries etc.
The issue is when trying to open the app from the SharePoint server (this can be done either by using the "Launch app" button on Access Quick access toolbar or by using "Site Content" on SharePoint site and clicking one of the deployed access apps):
We always get this message:
Sorry, you don't have a license to use Access.
It may be a very stupid issue, but so far I found no explanation on the web on how to set licensing for Access Apps on SharePoint. The SharePoint farm has Enterprise features already enabled. The company has enterprise agreement with Microsoft which includes Access, so actual Licensing is not the issue. Just the setup.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

i have setup ADFS site and now i have to add APP in sharepoint store it is saying"sorry we cannot seem to connect to the sharepoint store.try again a bit".please help. is it a limitation for ADFS claim authentication site?

Recently I installed Sharepoint 2013 Enterprise and Exchange 2013 in our company. I have successfully enabled site-mailbox feature and made site-mailboxes for some workgroup's sites. Some time later I decided to change public url from short one to the full-one (to avoid problems with vpn clients). I.e. from https://sharepoint15 to thehttps://sharepoint15.tls.dc. I didn't find official article for such action, therefore I have decided to change public url address and add old short address as alias to the new public address.
In generally all sharepoint features successfully adopted to the new address. Maybe I need to do some small corrections. But not site-mailbox feature...
When I went to the "Site mailbox" page (e.g. https://sharepoint15.tls.dc/exchange2013/_layouts/15/TeamMailbox/mailbox.aspx) - it says that "It looks like your site moved, Error code: 0". I opened network analyzer in my IE and saw that JS query got additional status code = 56:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj218671(v=exchg.150).aspx says that SP-SiteMailbox could change SP Site url for Site Mailbox. Ok. I tried to do so and got 401 error. Moreover, I found that site mailbox sync process also reports about 401-errors.
Ok, I went to the AD, opened SM account, and corrected advanced attributes "msExchMailboxUrl" and "msExchTeamMailboxSharepointUrl" to retarget them to the new url. And right after that 401 errors had disappeared (and mailbox syncing process
works again). But when I tried to change URL with "Set-SiteMailbox" command - it says me that only one Sharepoint site can be tied with one site mailbox (FullyQualifiedErrorId : 4DB1A3F2,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.RecipientTasks.SetSiteMailbox).
For that moment I spent about three days to figure out how to fix broken site mailboxes and totally tired out of this situation, and had decided to kill these annoying site mailboxes and recreate a new ones. Firstly I tried to deactivate Sharepoint Site Mailbox Feature for the site and re-activate it again - with no success. Then I went to the Exchange shell and permanently removed one site mailbox. But Sharepoint still report me about problems with this site mailbox. I repeated the process of re-enabling site-mailbox feature - no difference.
Now I here. I cannot change site-mailbox url. I cannot delete site mailbox from Sharepoint config. But I can create an perfect mailboxes for the new sites.
I deleted xml cache, updated Sharepoint with last march CU. No changes. Sharepoint logs and windows event log are empty.
Please, help me! I'm stuck.
Maybe someone knows where is site-mailbox configuration is stored, or maybe how to clean site-mailbox configuration from sharepoint site?
I have setup a SharePoint Foundation 2013 small farm (2 WFE - 1 APP - 1DB). Anytime anyone tries to access the "?" "help" on any site, it throws the "Unfortunately, help seems to be broken...
Any ideas?

I have a wsp, which i am trying to deploy using powershell and activate a feature.
I have used the below powershell:
Add-spsolution ".\custom.wsp" Install-SPSolution –Identity custom.wsp -GACDeployment Enable-SPFeature –identity "FeatureName" -URL "site url" -force
I have checked this, and has not helped.

I have also tried using the GUID of the feature in the Enable-spfeature. But getting the same error "Enable-SPFeature : The Feature is not a Farm Level Feature and is not found in a Site level defined by the Url".
The feature is not deployed to 15 hive and hence I am not able to see in site settings as well as site collection feature.
How to fix this?
Upgraded a SharePoint 2010 Web App and BCS to SharePoint 2013 successfully.
The Web App contains a web part that links to a SQL database, using the BCS.
The BCS is configured to Pass Through the User Identity to the SQL server.
Whilst the Web App is in Windows (Negotiate) Classic authentication mode the web part displays the data from the SQL database.
When the Web App was upgraded to Claims authentication mode the web part fails to display the data and shows “Login failed for user ‘NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON’”
Is it possible to configure BCS to pass through the user identity in a Claims base environment?

I don't know how to install CrossSiteLookup and don't know what it is.
I also don't know it is used on wich list, so I can't edit the list to remove the field.

I'm having trouble getting anything to show up in users' activity feeds. Each users' Newsfeed settings are set to share everything possible in the feed. Additionally I've verified that the Activity Feed timer job is enabled, has run, and completed successfully. However, nothing shows up in any users activity feed after editing a profile, following someone, etc etc.
I've also verified that in the User Profile Service App that MySite newsfeeds are actually enabled.
What's the issue here?

Now when I move some document from a library in sitecollnA to sitecollectionB it goes to drop off library.
I want it to directly go to other library in sitecollectionB? But where should i configure this.

I have downloaded the Base Images, Middle-Tiers and Virtual Machine files for the 20331B: Core Solutions Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 course from the MCT Member Site Download Center. However, I need help on the following:
1. In the Classroom and Instructor Computer Setup guides the Virtual Machines all refer to 20331A
2. There are no specific instructions for using Windows 8.1 Client Hyper-V
3. The VM-Pre-Import Script Batch Files do not appear to be working
Kindly let me know how to get around these.

My question is if I setup new sharepoint 2013 on same domain which is use by sharepoint 2010 then it will come in problem ?

We kept search service unchecked while running Services configuration wizard after sharepoint was first setup so currentky Sharepoint search is in disabled state.
However we now would like to use only search document feature in libraries. which is not working .

I have created a host header web app using SP shell, a root site collection and then different site collections. IIS binding and DNS record has been created. But I am not able to access any of the sites. Its telling me server cant found. I am very new so please provide me help. Also if someone please answer below questions :
1) How to check whether a web application is host-named or path based.
2) Because it is told that we cant create a site collection under host header web app from central admin. But I am getting the option to create a site collection under host header web app from central Admin.
