IM trying to learn the workflow feature on my SharePoint installation, but as i press the "add workflow" i only get two templates;Disposition Approval and Three-state. ANy ideas why the "Approval" and the other templates that I had in SharePoint 2010 isn't there?

Logging in from one web application to another without username/pw?
Hi!
I have one webapplication: intranet.domainname.org and mysites.domainname.org.
The problem is, when i login to intranet.domainname.org and press the "about me" link to join mysites i have to sign in again.. Is there a workaround to fix so that users dont have to sign in twice?

I am getting following error when i try to open powerview window from powerpivot gallery:
Unsupported Reporting Services Functionality
This SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) functionality is not supported. Use Central Administration to verify and fix one or more of the following issues:
- A report server URL is not configured. Use the SSRS Integration page to set it.
- The SSRS service application proxy is not configured. Use the SSRS service application pages to configure the proxy.
- The SSRS service application is not mapped to this web application. Use the SSRS service application pages to associate the SSRS service application proxy to the Application Proxy Group for this web application.
I am using SQL Server 2012 In integrated mode with Sharepoint 2013..

SharePoint 2013 and SSRS integration
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to figure out how to install SSRS into my Test SharePoint 2013 environment. First I have a SharePoint2013 server setup with all the services running fine with no issues. I also have a SQL backend server along with separate Project Server and OWA Server. From testing my environment seems to be working fine. Next I want to integrate SSRS into my SharePoint environment.
I have read the below article as well has the links posted in the beginning of the article and I am still a bit confused.

I don't want to install SharePoint, SQL and SSRS all on the same box. I want to install SSRS onto a separate SQL server. Am I OK doing it this way?
Should I be installing a separate SQL with Reporting Services? If so what SQL features do I need to select in the Feature Selection?

Public access to MySite User Photos / Profile Pictures
Hi,
I have Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Enterprise, on premise.
I have MySite with address https://mysite.mycompany.com
All user photos are imported from Active directory and are placed in Mysite as thumbnails with command:
Update-SPProfilePhotoStore -MySiteHostLocation https://mysite.mycompany.com -CreateThumbnailsForImportedPhotos $true
All users have their photo available on URL for example:
https://mysite.mycompany.com/User%20Photos/Profile%20Pictures/mycompany_myusername_LThumb.jpg
What I want to accomplish that everyone on the Internet can access the following URL and download .jpg file, without having to authenticate or anything else.
Please help...

Unable to delete SharePoint 2013 Masterpage from Masterpage and Page Layout Gallery.
Hi,
I have deployed a New MasterPage using wsp in my SharePoint 2013 Environment. After some (Look and Feel/Branding) issue I have removed the wsp and reset the my MasterPage as seattle with option "Reset all subsites to inherit this site master page setting". Then Deactivated the MasterPage's feature from Site settings --> Site Collection Administrator --> Site Collection Feature. Now I tried To delete the Master Page from Site settings --> Gallery --> Masterpage and Page Layout. When I tried to Delete the MasterPage.master file. I got the below error,
Can not delete a master page "This item cannot be deleted because it is still referenced by other pages".
So I again Reset the MasterPage as seattle and checked "Reset all subsites to inherit this site master page setting". Again I got the same error. I'm sure this master is not referencing anywhere.
I checked the path http://sitename:port/_catalogs/design/AllItems.aspx. It has only Seattle and oslo master and that corresponding files. It not had any file related to my MasterPage.master.
I done the below steps to delete
1. I created a new folder called DeleteMaster and moved MasterPage.master file inDeleteMaster and tried to delete DeleteMaster, but no use,
2. Tried http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=926812, this Microsoft link also not helps me.
Please help to me to delete .master file from gallery

In UPS 2013, Changes not reflecting after Manage Policies Options are changed
When I changed the security options in Manage Policies which is present in User Profile Service Application 2013, The changes are not being reflected.
Issue : In My Site 2013, Under Newsfeed section, all the posts and activities are being shown to everybody. There is no security. For that I changed the Manage Policy Settings. But those are not reflected till.. Please suggest the solution.

SharePoint services showing offline in Central Administration, but online in Powershell
Hi
I have SharePoint 2013 standard server on two SharePoint servers, one Frontend webserver and one application server for service applications.
I have a script that sets up my service applications; including secure store, work management, userprofile and so on.
After i have deployed the script I notice that i cant configure userprofile serviceapplication from Central administration. I get a "Sorry something went wrong".
Services on Appserver is showing first beneath, then "manage service applications under that":

I'm like .......
Its strange because I have run the script on other test environments before without seeing this issue.
I have now tried to run this 3 times, (fresh config everytime).
Same result.
anyone seen this?

The disk capacity for my VM which is used as a development environment for Sharepoint 2013
I want to set up my development environment for sharepoint 2013 on a VM; my environment specification are as follow:-
• A laptop with windows 7 professional 64x
• The laptop has 670 GB harddisk
• 32 GB of RAM
• VM workstation
During my creation for a new VM I mount an ISO image representing a windows server 2008 data centre to the VM , but it ask me to provide the following:-
1. Specify the disk capacity , by default it select 40 GB , **so should I modify this number**?
2. Then I have to select between these two options ; Store virtual disk as a single file OR to split virtual disk to multiple files. **So which option I should use**?

Community forum to accept incoming email?
Hi,
First off, forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place.
I am currently testing out Office 365, SharePoint Online, and trying to figure out if there is a way to set up a Community site to allow for in-coming email?
What I would like to do is to allow users to post on the Community Site, in a certain Category, by using an email. Currently, I see that there are notifications being sent to the user if they have 'followed'/'subscribed' to a post, but now they are asking if they can simply reply to the email in order to post their response, or if they can even post a new discussion via email?
Users who are asking about this are remote users at a Client's site and are using a Blackberry device.

Recover a Shared document folder
Hi,
I have contributors access on the sharepoint website in my office. I accidentally deleted a shared folder from a document library which had important sites and documents stored. Now when i am trying to recover it from the recyle bin it throws me an error and takes me to Trouble shoot page. The shared folder had sites which got deleted and we had no backups of these taken. Also a person who has administrator rights tried to restore it with his credentials however the folder is not restored and it takes us to the Troubleshoot page which is not helpfull. Please advise how can we restore this folder asap.

Getting a "Your search cannot be completed because no Search service is available."
We have a custom Search page layout for our SP2013 solution, but when trying to run searchs we get the "Your search cannot be completed because no Search service is available." error message. Where do I check / set the Search service? I
have full admin rights to the server.

Domain Users cannot login into Sharepoint
I have migrated my 2010 site to 2013, now domain users are not able to authenticate to sharepoint I'm only able to login to the site with the system account.
When I look at the central administration I'm using Claims Based authentication and have selected <label for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_IdentityProviderSettingSection_ctl01_ChkWindowsAuth">Enable Windows Authentication and tried both NTLM and Nogotiation</label>neither option works. When I go back and look at my 2010 server and login everything works fine.
What is it about 2013 that would prevent users from loggin in?
When I view the site permissions I see all the original users and permissions they were assigned.

SharePoint 2013 - Can not get site (web appication) to use FQDN without the path "/sites/main"
I have a new SharePoint 2013. The site works fine with the URL https://sharepoint.mydomain.com/sites/main However I want users to be able to just enterhttps://sharepoint.mydomain.com only. I have tried using the SPSiteURL command but I get an error and I'm not sure if thats the method I should use anyway, if this is wrong or if there is a better way.
The syntax I used is:

Unable to Connect to a report server
Before I explain my problem let me mention my setup:
I have installed a SBS 2011. SharePoint foundation working excellent.
I'm trying to setup reporting services in this environment.
I have installed an additional instance of sqlserver to use for the reporting services.
The configuration process for reporting services done from the sharepoint central administration page went ok every thing is green.
The configuration from reporting services configuration manager went ok
Here is when the problems start.
I want to publish a report created in report builder 3.0 and when I try to connect to the report server it gives me an error that says: "Unable to connect to the server that is specified in the URL .... Make sure that the server is running, the URL is correct and you have permission to use the server"
The other problem I have is when I go to the Reporting services configuration manager and then I go to "Web service URL" and I click on the URL. It ask me for the loging credentials. I put the credentials and does not log in. It ask again for the credentials and stays there.
The same problem happens when I got to the "Report Manager URL" it ask me for the loging screen and I put the credentials and it does not go anywhere.

Forms Based Authentication & Windows Authentication People Picker
Is there a way to use Forms Based Authentication and still maintain robust People Picker search capabilities? I’d like to have Windows Authentication with NTLM but the login using Forms Based Authentication. I’ve setup LDAP Membership but the People Picker only allows you to search by login name, “jdo” for example returns, jdoe; searching for john returns nothing.
