I am trying to configure incoming email into a library list with the email security policy set to:
Accept e-mail messages based on list permissions.
I have configured a user with full control on the library list & full control of site (for testing), but I get the below error message in the Sharepoint Products shared operational event log when an email message is found in the drop box: (email was sent from the account with full control on the library list & full control of site)
An error occurred while processing the incoming e-mail file C:\inetpub\mailroot\Drop\%EMAILID%.eml. The error was: Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource.
When I set the email security policy for the list to:
Accept e-mail messages from any sender
It moves the email message into the list but displays the created & modified by as “System Account” (pic below)
