Hi there, we are planning on creating a new SP2013 farm.
we have an existing 2010 site that houses several company departments (IT, sales, marketing, bpo.. etc.)
in our 2010 design, these are in a subsite (i.e: http://site.com/ABC/IT, http://site.com/ABC/sales etc.) and sometimes there are still sub departments for IT/sales/marketing and these are subsites too.
after reading a few articles, it is not adviseable for us to still use subsites after we move to SP2013.is this correct?
It says that we can use site collection for each departments and sub departments.is this correct?
If we will follow this, what could be the possibilities that we will encounter some errors/issues?
I have also read about managed path (this is my 1st time to hear this). upon checking on the http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262787.aspx#WebApplication there is a limit of managed path. how can I count this?
I think we have around 80+ subsites in our current structure. will site collection + managed path be possible?
Thanks.
