I would like to provide users with a facility to convert documents from, eg Word, to pdfs. I believe I need to make use of the Word Automation Services and the SyncConverter class but the documentation out there is pretty scant.
Has anyone already done something similar and would be able to give me some pointers as to the best way of doing this? For example would such a feature be best as a Sharepoint 'app' or does it have to be a farm based solution? Can it be done on a remote server via REST apis?
Any help much appreciated.
