Today I inherited a SharePoint 2013 from a contractor that just left friday. I'm trying to open on CA and I'm getting the following error message:
This operation can be performed only on a computer that is joined to a server farm by users who have permissions in SQL Server to read from the configuration database. To connect this server to the server farm, use the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard, located on the Start menu in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products.
Its supposed to be a new install that was done last week by the contractor, so there's no sites or anything created. Is there a way to get this working or would it be easier to wipe it out and do a new install?
I'm running on Server 2012 as well.
