Migrate Sharepoint 2010 Site Parts to Sharepoint 2013 via Windows Explorer

Hello,

We're upgrading from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013 and we have two main goals:

  • Re-structure
  • Maintain content

We've tested the database detach-attach method to transfer the content, but that lacks the ability to restructure our site. We now have setup a new SharePoint 2013 environment with our desired structure in place, and we're looking at ways to migrate AND upgrade the content to the 2013 site. I understand this is not a support migration path, but we've deemed it to be the easiest way possible while meeting our criteria above.

Currently, we can map both of the sites to a network drive on a Windows 7 machine, and then drag and drop certain site assets. This works for files such as PDF's, .docs, and .wmv's. Once transfered to SP2013, we can view and manipulate the files as if they originated on that server. If we try to move site pages (.aspx pages using the drag and drop method), mainly Wiki Pages, they will come over to SP2013 but they appear blank.

My question is: is it possible to migrate site assets (Wiki pages, and other .aspx pages) from SP2010 using the method above (drag and drop), then upgrade the content to SP2013. Or is there an alternative solution?
