Hi,
I hope someone can help clarify something for me. I am looking to deploy SharePoint 2013 in our environment, in the 20331A "Core solutions of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013" official course book there is the following:
"SQL Server Express database cannot grow to any larger than 10GB, and you cannot use user profile synchronization; that topology requires a server farm deployment"
I'm hoping some one can clarify, does this mean the restrictions apply to the "SQL Server 2008 Express" version that gets installed using the wizard.
I know express SQL is limited to 10GB databases, this isn't an issue for now as its a small deployment. The Part that will cause me issues is if the "user profile synchronization" needs more than a single server running SharePoint 2013 and the SQL Express 2012 Database.
Thanks!
James
