2013 portal... just a portal to access SAP back-ended apps.
Average daily concurrent users= ~6000 users
Peak concurrent users between 2-4pm= ~8000 users
My question is are these the numbers I need to base my capacity calculation for WFE's? It would not seem like total users or average hit count per day would really matter so much... am I off-base?
Or better yet, what is the key metric regarding number of users that needs to be taken into consideration when looking at a true application PORTAL solution (no collaboration, no BI, no team sites (possible social sites))...just a pass-through and authentication for back-end applications
