We have a farm with one WFE, one SA and a SQL server, all well above the minimum requirements for SharePoint, and only in use by a few dozen people at the moment. The performance has been great using SharePoint 2013 (much better than 2010), but upon learning that the March CU would be mandatory I decided to install it.
The install went fine (did it on a Sunday evening) but Monday morning some users noticed slowness, which has continued until now. When analyzing the page loading the source becomes obvious: after the initial GET request is sent there's a 6.25 second delay before there's any response, at which point the entire page arrives within 2 seconds. This is all on our corporate backbone, so network speeds aren't the issue. I also know it's not the network because nothing changed over the weekend, but we went from almost no delay in page load to a delay of over 6 seconds.
This delay happens every time you click on something that requires a new page load, even a partial load.
I went to uninstall the March PU to find out if that would resolve it, but found I'm unable to uninstall the update.
I've spent hours searching for answers and have ruled out anything with Certs (a common problem, but one that usually caused a 15 second delay, not 6, plus I went through the fix anyway and it didn't help), or any load issues (the CPU and RAM on the WFE rarely go above 30%, on the SA it's rarely above 40%, same with the SQL box).
So my question is two fold: 1. could anyone help me improve the load time? If not, then number 2. Is there any way to uninstall the march CU to make sure that isn't causing the problem?
Thanks,
Allen
