14 folder on SharePoint 2013

Hi all

After a fresh install of SP 2013 I found that still exists an 14 hive folder and on IIS Manager I found that _layouts and _controltemplates folders are pointing to 14 folder instead 15

I've renamed 14 folder to test and I get an error from home page that it's not found 14/templates folder.

Is it normal this ?
