Hi All,
We had an employee who no longer works for us set up our initial Sharepoint 2013 server. The intent was to put it into a farm with a second Sharepoint 2013 server that would be built at a later date. However, while he was setting up the server he did not correctly document the Farm PassPhrase. Now I am in the process of building the second Sharepoint 2013 server to add to the farm. I got to the point where it asks for the PassPhrase and found out the hard way he did not document the correct PassPhrase. So now I am stuck resetting the PassPhrase from the Sharepoint cmdlet. Which is fine, but the Sharepoint server the now ex-employee set up is actively being used and has data on it we do not want to corrupt or lose. So my question is.... If I use the cmdlet to change the PassPhrase on the first Sharepoint server what all will it effect? Do I need to go in and change anything anywhere else? Is it going to cause parts of Sharepoint to no longer be able to connect with our SQL server, or anything else?
Kindest Regards!
