My site at wildcard inclusion path issue

Hi,

I am creating a sharepoint my site. I am confused about how site collections and managed paths work.

I have the following managed paths set:

Web appl

User Profile Svc my site settings (personal site location):

personal

However, I want to create the my sites at http://webapphostname:123/personal (i.e. include the wildcard inclusion path). But this always errors out. 

How can I create the my site in this way?
