We are trying to crawl IBM WebSphere Portal WCM contents exposed as an Atom Seedlist using SharePoint's Web crawler. The crawler fails to crawl the Seed with warning as "Item not crawled due to one of the following reasons: Preventive crawl rule; Specified content source hops/depth exceeded; URL has query string parameters; Required protocol handler not found; Preventive robots directive".
Would like to know if it is possible to crawl the seedlist with some additional configuration/customization ? This thread had a discussion on the same Crawl Atom Feed . However no mention on how to develop the solutions.
