I have a network that was running Sharepoint version 3.0 on a windows 2003 Standard server
I then replaced the other windows 2003 primary domain controller and migrated into a SBS 2011 environment, this did involve demoting the 2003 Sharepoint server in question from secondary DC to domain member.
the internal website on the 2003 server no longer works any more and in the IIS manager it will not let me start the default web site, I get an error that says that another site may be already using the port configured and to use another port.
I need to get this site up again and would like to know if this is a conflict between the unused Sharepoint on the 2011 SBS server and the old one how would I go about resolving this port conflict, maybe I can disable or change the port on the SBS server?
If not it might be time to migrate to the new server which seems to be running Sharepoint 4.0, is there some documentation on how to do that and keep my whole site?
