Hi
I am using Sharepoint 2013 and have for the first time created myself a custom master page from a HTML design of my own, i have done all the neccessary, added snippets, got all the styling right and have created a custom welcome page layout based on that master page.
So onto the next stage in Design Manager, step 6. Publishing. I open up the Master Page Gallery link on step 6, expand my folder named "Custom", select the HTML file of my Master Page and the Publish button is greyed out.
At first i thought permissions, but i designed, uploaded, customised and now am trying to publish the file as my "SP_Admin" account which is the System Account.
I have checked the following also:
- Activated the SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure at the site collection level
- I then activated SharePoint Server Publishing at the Site Level
- Tried accessing publishing section by first launching the SharePoint 2013 Central Administration shortcut from my desktop to ensure im going in with full permissions.
I can't think what else i would be missing?
In addition if i go directly into "Content and Structure" under the Site Administration header, expand the master page gallery folder and select my files such as CSS, images etc then click the "Actions" button, i don't see the "Publish" button there either.
I'm well and truly stumped and cannot find a fix for this anywhere online. If anyone could help in any way that would be great.
Thanks very much in advance!
Danny
