Metadata service upgrade

Hi everyone,

I upgraded our metadata service to 2013 from 2010 exactly its written in this TechNet articleBut now when I try to open metadata service from CA it says "The Managed Metadata Service or Connection is currently not available. The Application Pool or Managed Metadata Web Service may not have been started.  Please Contact your Administrator".

Also when I check the SP log file it says

"Failed to get term store for proxy 'EQC Managed Metadata Service'. Exception: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary.     at Microsoft.SharePoint.Taxonomy.Internal.XmlDataReader.GetDateTime(String name)     at Microsoft.SharePoint.Taxonomy.Internal.SharedTermStore.Initialize(IDataReader dataReader, Guid termStoreIdValue, Boolean fromPersistedData)     at Microsoft.SharePoint.Taxonomy.Internal.SharedTermStore..ctor(IDataReader dataReader, Guid termStoreId, Boolean fromPersistedData)     at Microsoft.SharePoint.Taxonomy.Internal.DataAccessManager.GetTermStoreData(MetadataWebServiceApplicationProxy sharedServiceProxy, Boolean& partitionCreated)"

I also tried to detach upgraded database, creating new metadata service and attaching back my upgraded DB back to the new metadata service and that didnt give an error but neither it showed my terms, totally blank term store even though my terms are in DBs tables (checked it with SQL management studio).

Anyone knows anything about it? Thanks.
