I have a Document Center with a couple of custom content types in the main library that both use a set of custom site columns. I've renamed the columns within the library in order to appeal to the client's desires.
Previously, these custom columns had crawled properties and managed properties within the search service application. Then we added a new column and it didn't get crawled and had a bunch of errors doing so. So I ended up wiping out the whole SSA and starting over with a new one. After fixing a few more errors relating to database permissions I now can run the crawler without getting any errors thrown (that I can see or become aware of without going to the ULS logs). Now, none of my custom site columns are crawlable and I've reset the index and full-crawled the thing about 4 times now.
How can I fix this and get my crawled/managed properties back? I can't recall having made any other significant changes to the site in months and this issue totally derails searching.
Thanks,
