Ok. I am not sure what is going on, as i am not the one who setup sharepoint in our new environment.
however we are not able to access the Central administration from HTTP://sitename.com:10000 while local on our Moss01 server, however Http://servername:10000 works.
from another (non sharepoint server) i can browse to http://sitename.com:10000 & all looks/works fine.
any idea why i am unable to view it from the local server?
