We are rolling out Lync Server 2013 and SharePoint Server 2013 on a SQL Server 2012 backside. What are the complications of having the Lync Server database on the same SQL server as the SharePoint database? While system resources are a concern, like core processors, threading, RAM and such, are the other issues that we should be aware of where these two systems might come into conflict if their databases are on the same physical database server? I am new to Lync Server so I don't know what to expect. Any ideas?
Thanks.
