SharePoint Foundation, SQL and 10GB Limit

Hi There,

I'm trying to find out definitely whether the 10GB limit with SharePoint 2013 Foundation is actually in SharePoint, SQL Server Express or both.

If it is just SQL Server Express, can SharePoint Foundation be used with the full version of SQL to remove the limit?

I have also seen that Remote BLOB Storage (RBS) can be used to place documents (which will account for much of our space requirements) outside the database, but am unsure if that will help.
