SharePoint 2013 file storage approach

Hi everybody!

I try to decide about file storage in my sharepoint farm.

Which one has better performance:

              1.Saving file with sharepoint 2013 default approach

              2. Enable filestream and RBS in sharepoint content databases to store blobs in file system

In this farm I have file with just KB sizes and also files with more than 100 MB size and Performance is my first priority.

in which one I/O operations are faster??

Backup and restore in which approach is easier??

Would you link me to an article about comparing two approach??
