I'm trying to set up SharePoint search and keep running into this error message.
I've done all the usual stuff with restarts & deleting and recreating the service (no joy). I have tried creating a search service through the wiz & also powershell ... both tons of fun but neither effective.
The environment is in Azure ... I've read previous cases of this error message here on TechNet (for SP 2010) and there seems to be a number of other frustrated folks.
