Hi,
I am currently having an issue with SharePoint 2013 attempting to send email as using the logged in user's address when adding someone to a group, rather that the configured 'from' address in the outbound SMTP configuration.
I have verified that email is working for library/file alerts just not when a user tries to add someone to a group or share a document.
Is is possible to override this functionality? I am in a restrictive environment in which it is not possible to allow the SharePoint server to send as any user.
As a side note the exchange server is rejecting the message with the message 'Client does not have permissions to send as this sender' because it is trying to send as the end user.
Thanks
