Just throwing around ideas in the office and we would like to have our users sync their work on skydrive pro. Now this is easy for staff and their laptops, as we can just use the app to sync the files. But for our students who work on shared desktops, this is not as easy, as we cannot just load up the skydrive pro app on each machine as it will take ages to sync down on every different computer they login to.
So, we thought perhaps we could just connect to the personal site via webdav for the desktops, but this presents a problem in that adobe products such as photoshop and indesign cannot write to webdav shares (at least, not to sharepoint ones)
So.. we are at a bit of a loss for the desktops and shared environments.. any ideas on how to tackle this? Ideally we want to stay away from syncing the files down to the local shared device and only keep the syncing for staff laptops
