Can you point me to article where how I can confgure the sharepoint 2013 apps to use the FBA as the authentication store?.
Here is what I have configured in my server
- A Web Application with a host header (site.com). This web has two zones one with windows authentication and another with FBA)
- A app domain url (*.siteapps.com: This is the primary zone in the DNS)
- A dummy web application with no host header (Same authentication settings as the site.com). This dummy site is due to the issue with the SharePoint web app with host header on 80 port.
Here is my issue
- Scenario one: When I try to access any apps from the FBA zone, I am prompted with NTLM authentication pop up.
- Can I make sure apps too use FBA authentication?
- If the app can use FBA, Can we configure the site not ask for credentials again (SSO)?
- Scenario two: When I try to access any apps from the Windows authenticated zone, I am prompted with the same NTLM authentication pop up.
- Why is the credentials not being shared between the site and apps?
Troubleshooting steps performed
- For scenario one: Since the app requested with host header are redirected through the dummy site, I tried without success to configure the site using only FBA, only windows and combination.
