Hi,
I've just installed Sharepoint Foundations 2013 on windows server 2012 in a virtual environment. The database is sql server 2012 also on windows 2012 and this is on a seperate virtual box.
I am able to log onto the default web application on port 80.
I created a new Web application and site collection on a random port assigned by sharepoint.
My problem is when trying to log onto this new site I am prompted for my username/password for the domain. However nothing I type here is being accepted.
I should add that I have added a dns entry for the url of this web application to point at the IP address for the sharepoint server which has a rather long and highly generic name.
In the Sharepoint Log the only clue I have found to an issue with my setup is
"user is not authenticated and requires authentication"
