Hi, i am at a client with a messed up SP2010.
It was apparently create for them to have a look at it a few years ago and people started using it, creating sites, setting permissions and now we sit on a 127Gb content db and there is no order.
So where do i start...
We installed SP1 and June 2011 CU. just to try and get some small issues out.
Next we will install SP2013 and configure site's according to a organisational structure they gave us.
The word DB attach migration has been mentioned but i don't think it is a good idea.
My Question:
How do i get their data from the SharePoint 2010 to 2013 environment?
i Know there is a few tools that can move data but is that really necessary?
Think it might be worth using a tool if the client do it themselves.?
They have a few Document Centers. (The landing age is a doc center) How do i handle that? i Have never had more than once Document Center in a farm...
