It appears that when we try to open a document (say a word document) the URL is prefixed with the following ms-word:ofv|u|. This is odd because we haven't deployed OWA in our environment. I would like the default to be to open in the client application. I've enabled the the OpenInClient feature at the site collection level and even tried changed the settings for the specific library, how can I get this to work properly?
