Creating a list of calendar events

Hi All,

I am trying to use the Content Query Web Tool in Sharepoint 2007 to display a list of the coming weeks events on the main page of my site from a calendar that exists on my site. I have managed to get so far with this (I am not a sharepoint expert nor well versed in coding!) but have two remaining issues:

1.) I am unable to filter by start time/date to end time/date and I believe that this is because I don't have a content type option that is "Event" the closest I have is "Item" which only gives me basic functionality.

2.) I would like to be able to display the date and start time of these items for ease of reference but am currently only able to display the title, I don't want to add these details into the title as it would spoil the look of the actual Calendar as well as creating extra work.

I'm not sure if what I am trying to do is even possible, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
