Upgrading Service Applications - Stuck in PowerShell

I have a dev environment setup for testing the upgrade from 2010 to 2013 and I'm stuck at the "Upgrade Service Applications" step.  I am running the PowerShell command to create the Secure Store service application, per the instructions on TechNet, but I get an error that the database already exists.

Error:  New-SPSecureStoreSerivceApplication : A SharePoint database namedSecureStoreServiceDBRestore already exists.  You must supply another name for the new database.

Where: SecureStoreServiceDBRestore is the name of the database copied over from the 2010 environment.   I just took the previous nights backups of the SecureStore DB in 2010 and copied it to the new environment and then restored it (using SQL Mgmt Studio) and changed the name in the process - the old name had the GUID in it and I wanted something a little easier for testing.

How does this command upgrade the database for the secure store applicaiton if it wants the name of the one copied over from the 2010 environment but throws an error that it already exists?

Or, what step/setting/part of the process am I missing or overlooking?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
