Using SharePoint 2013 Farm Service account as Group Managed Service Account

Hello,

I have created a group Managed Service Account (gMSA) in Windows Server 2012 and intend to use it for the SharePoint 2013 Farm Service Account (also called the Database Access Account).

From within the New-SPConfigurationDatabase PowerShell CmdLet, I am trying to get the credentials of that service account as with the parameter:

-FarmCredentials (Get-credential)

but always fails!

Notice that I write the following in the credentials popup window:

DOMAIN\gMSA_NAME$

and also try passing a password (fails) and leave the password blank (also fails stating that it is required).

Did any one implement a gMSA to be used as SharePoint Farm Service Account? or even any Service Account to be used inside SharePoint server?
