I have a question regarding BI-functionallity in Sharepoint 2013.
Our planned setup is a Sharepoint 2013 Enterprise farm running on SQL Server 2012 Standard. We also have a separate server with SQL Server 2012 Enterprise. What is possible to achive with this setup?
- Can we run PowerPivot (PP documents and/or PP Gallery and automatic data refresh)?
- Can we run PowerView?
- Can we view excel reports with a tabular model cube as source (the cube residing on the separate server)?
Of course this is a question of money and licence costs. One solution is to run Sharepoint on SQL Server Enterprise but that is probably to expensive. But is it possible to utilize the separate server running SQL Server Enterprise to get some of the above features?
