A Security Patch (KB4022235) has failed to install with the following error from the event log:
Product: Microsoft Search Server 2013 Core - Update 'Security Update for Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise Server 2013 (KB4022235) 64-Bit Edition' could not be installed. Error code 1603.
I cannot decipher the reason in the log file it produced and error code 1603 seems to be pretty generic. So I am still investigating how to get the patch to install.
In the meantime, I cannot run the SharePoint Product Configuration because it is looking for this patch. Is there a way to run the SharePoint Product Configuration and have it not look for the installed updates? I usually run the Product Configuration after patching, but have not run it since July due to the patching issue.
