Installing Sharepoint 2013 without Active Directory

Hi, 

We currently use Sharepoint 2007 in an environment that does not have AD. We use local accounts and SQL authentication to the database server.

Is this possible with Sharepoint 2013?? Can someone from Microsoft please let me know what the official stance is on installing Sharepoint 2013 in an environment that does not have an AD server
