PowerPivot: Midtier process account should have 'Full Read'

I am running SharePoint 2013 with PowerPivot on SQL Server 2012 SP1. I get the health analyzer rule identified below (note that this is copied from the documentation http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh230899.aspx):

The PowerPivot service application identity must have Full Read permissions in order to access the SharePoint content databases on behalf of users who have View Only permissions on a document.

To determine which account is used as the PowerPivot service application identity, open theConfigure service accounts page in Central Administration. Most likely, the service application runs in either the SharePoint Web Services System service application pool or in a dedicated application pool.

Although this rule provides a Repair Automatically option, you will get better results if you grant the permissions manually.

  1. In Central Administration, click Manage web applications.

  2. Select a web site, and then click User Policy.

  3. Click Add Users.

  4. Select (All zones) and click Next.

  5. In Users, enter the PowerPivot service application identity, and then click the Full Read checkbox. Click Finish.

  6. Verify the repair. In Monitoring, click Review rule definitions. Find and then open the PowerPivot rule. Click Run Now. Go back to Review problems and solutions to verify the rule no longer appears

Am I reading this right? The account used as the SharePoint Web Services System service application pool account has to have full read rights on all of the web apps where PowerPivot is used.

Is there no way to put Excel Services in it's own application pool?

I dug into the PowerShell used in the PowerPivot Configuration Tool and it uses a command called, "New-SPExcelBIServer" which takes two parameters: the service app name to be used and a list of the BI Servers. There doesn't appear to be any way to identify a new application pool.

If there is no way to put Excel Services in it's own application pool, is there no way to reconfigure it to use it's own application pool?
