Applying access rights on a site collection within a site collection

Hi All,

I have 2 site collections. In one site collection(for instance, http://servername), I have created a top-link bar (for instance, InternalDocs) which will open the second site collection(i.e. http://servername/internaldocs). From the site collection (http://servername), all users are having access rights on different top-link bars depending on the group they belong to. For instance, user1 who belongs to Group A is having access to only Group A top-link bar whereas user2 who belongs to Group B is having access to only Group B top-link bar. But, when the user1 is browsing to InternalDocs top-link bar, user1 is able to see the Group B top-link bar. Is it possible to apply access rights so that user1 is not able to see the Group B top-link bar on the http://servername/internaldocs link?
