Dear Experts,
We have installed May 2016 Cumulative updates in our SharePoint 2013 farm. When we are running config wizard it is failing with "Upgrade of SearchAdminDatabase failed" and the exception with "user does not have permissions to perform this action" in error logs. We have verified the permissions in SQL and it is in place. Tried by reset the permissions in SQL but no luck.
To check the upgrade status executed localupgradestatus stsadm command and it returned with Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration. SPWebserviceInstance needs upgrade. What are the steps required to upgrade this properly.
Also, can we try by stopping search service from Manage services on server and running the config wizard will give us success? If so, will it impact anything in the farm? Is this a known issue with May 2016 CU?
Can anyone help us how can we run the config wizard successfully.
