Hello everyone,
does it matter in which order I create the Service Applications in SP2013? Because I just created some smaller ones (Excel Services, Managed Metadata) I now want to create Search Service and User Profile Sync. However, both are really complex and my rely on each other (e.g. in Search I can search for persons). I also think that UPS uses Search in the Newsfeed as it takes a moment to update some stuff there. UPS is a lot harder to setup and on the following link it is assumed, that NO CHANGES have been made at all (UPS). However, I want to avoid that it makes trouble because Search stuff is missing because during my tests I think I can remember some Exceptions after creating UPS without having Search installed.
Can you help me here? Does the order matter and which is a little better?
Thanks!
Regards
Christian
