How to set SharePoint to pick up changes in Active Security groups?

Hello,

I make changes in Active Security groups that SharePoint uses, but when I add users to the AD security groups, SharePoint does not see them.  I see this article, but its for SharePoint 2007.  I like to set properties, so SharePoint can pickup changes quicker in AD.

Do you know similar steps with Power Shell?  I am using SharePoint 2013?
